Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP MM Lead / SAP Materials Management Governance Lead to oversee purchasing processes, intercompany purchase orders, inventory movements, and plant-related material operations across the SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will validate procurement transactions, manage supplying-plant changes, identify master-data dependencies, and ensure accurate integration between purchasing, inventory management, and plant operations within SAP MM.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate purchasing processes, purchase orders, and intercompany procurement transactions within SAP.
- Review and validate intercompany purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with business processes.
- Oversee material movements, goods receipts, goods issues, and inventory transfers between plants.
- Validate supplying-plant changes and assess their impact on procurement, inventory, and intercompany transactions.
- Identify and manage master-data dependencies affecting purchasing, materials, inventory, and plant operations.
- Ensure accurate configuration and execution of SAP MM purchasing and inventory management processes.
- Coordinate with SAP SD, FI/CO, PP, and other functional teams to resolve cross-module dependencies.
- Analyze procurement and inventory issues, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA implementations, enhancements, testing, and production support.
- Participate in functional design reviews, integration testing, and business process validation.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, inventory controls, and material management standards.
- Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, warehouse, and plant operations teams to improve process efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in SAP Materials Management (SAP MM).
- Hands-on knowledge of purchasing, procurement, inventory management, and material movements.
- Experience with intercompany procurement and intercompany purchase orders.
- Understanding of supplying-plant determination and plant-to-plant stock transfers.
- Knowledge of material master data and its dependencies across SAP modules.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP MM integration with SAP SD, FI/CO, and PP.
- Knowledge of SAP master data governance and material master management.
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or multi-plant environments.
- Familiarity with SAP testing, change management, and process improvement initiatives
Compensation: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour
